General Care

A little extra care goes a long way in preserving the quality and longevity of your garment.

  • Always refer to the care label attached to your garment.

  • We recommend dry cleaning for garments with embroidery, embellishments or delicate fabrics.

  • Avoid bleach, harsh detergents and strong chemicals.

  • Do not wring or twist delicate garments.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight while drying.

  • Store your garments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Swimwear Care

To maintain the colour, stretch and shape of your swimwear:

  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water immediately after use.

  • Hand wash using a mild detergent.

  • Avoid soaking for extended periods.

  • Do not tumble dry or wring the fabric.

  • Dry flat in the shade.

  • Avoid rough surfaces that may snag or damage the fabric.

  • Ensure your swimwear is completely dry before storing.

Embroidery & Delicate Garments

Our embellished garments are handcrafted and deserve a little extra attention.

  • Handle embroidered garments with care.

  • Avoid direct friction against embellished areas.

  • Do not iron directly over embroidery, beadwork or embellishments.

  • Steam on a low setting or from the reverse side wherever possible.

  • Store embellished garments inside a garment bag to help protect delicate detailing.

Delicate Fabrics

Garments made in lace, mesh, organza, chiffon and other delicate fabrics should be handled gently.

  • Steam instead of ironing whenever possible.

  • If ironing is necessary, always use a low heat setting.

  • Take care when wearing jewellery or accessories that may catch on sheer fabrics.

Hardware & Trims

Many Label Ankita Jain garments feature premium hardware, pearls, beads and decorative trims.

  • Avoid spraying perfume or applying lotions directly onto hardware or embellishments.

  • Keep metallic trims dry after wear.

  • Store garments carefully to prevent hardware from scratching or snagging other fabrics.

Storage

Proper storage helps maintain the structure, finish and longevity of your garments.

  • Hang dresses, jackets and structured garments on padded hangers.

  • Fold knitwear and swimwear neatly instead of hanging.

  • Store embellished garments inside garment bags whenever possible.

  • Avoid overcrowding your wardrobe to protect delicate fabrics and embellishments.

  • In humid climates or for long-term storage, we recommend placing a silica gel or moisture-absorbing sachetinside your wardrobe or garment storage to help minimise excess moisture.

Travelling With Your Garments

Travelling with your favourite pieces? A little preparation can make all the difference.

  • Pack embellished garments inside garment bags.

  • Fold delicate garments carefully to minimise creasing.

  • Steam your garment after unpacking rather than using a hot iron.

  • Carry swimwear separately and ensure it is completely dry before packing.
